象山书院位于中国江西省鹰潭，为南宋四大书院之一。其创始人为陆九渊，世人称其为“象山先生”，其学说与当时“程朱理学”相抗衡，被后人称为“陆王心学”。因此，象山书院是中国哲学“心学”起源地。
水景位于书院的心学广场之中，是书院重要的户外“讲读”和活动场所。其水景设计理念采用陆九渊先生“吾心即宇宙，宇宙即吾心”的观点为中心思想，讲述每个人都是自己的宇宙中心，方寸之心繁生万物；从“心”出发，衍生万物，散落的水柱如同星辰点点，立于广场中心回望，思潮与水一同向远无限弥散漫延，引人深思......

The water feature is located in the Xinxue Square of the Academy, which is an important outdoor teaching, speeching and activity place of it. The design concept adopts Lu Jiuyuan's view of "my heart is the universe, the universe is my heart" as the central idea, telling that everyone is the center of his/her own universe, and every inch of the heart produces everything, aka the Heart derives all things. The scattered water columns are just like stars, and when one standing in the center of the square looking back, thoughts and water pervade together to the far infinite diffusion, provoking reflection......
